Race for Recovery

The MLK5K is an annual 5k run/walk that raises money to support addiction recovery centers in impoverished communities, and help the more than 13,000 adults in Arkansas who struggle with substance abuse or addiction of some kind. All proceeds benefit Sober Living which focuses on helping minority groups in the community.

Run the Race

The MLK 5K is a yearly run held on the Big Dam Bridge overlooking the Arkansas River. The route consist of starting at the foot of the Bridge (NLR side) and going across and running/walking on Rebsamen Rd. to Murray Park entrance and turning around and coming across the bridge to finish at the start location.

The cost of entry is $20 if you register ahead of time or $25 the morning of the race from 6:30 to 7:30 am at the foot of the Big Dam Bridge.

You can register by filling out the MLK 5K Online Registration Form on the GetMeRegistered website. Packet pick-up will be at Easy Runner in Pleasant Ridge Shopping Center from 10am – 6pm on Friday, January 11, 2013.
